This is a permanent role that will support the requirements of a growing workforce and increased water services for our community and region. The remuneration grade is between $86,230 and $121,736 including kiwisaver.
Appointment remuneration will be dependent on skills and experience.
The opportunity
As a People & Capability Advisor you will contribute to Wellington Water Ltd’s people strategy and support people leaders and kaimahi across change, employment relation matters, early career support, and applying HR legislation and best practice. Day to day you will:
- Build strong relationships that foster partnership with people leaders and identify pragmatic people-centred solutions.
- Support recruitment and workforce requirements with a focus on creating reflective position descriptions.
- Support positive culture and development that enables high-performance and accountability.
- Assess position size and grading (using a remuneration framework based on strategic pay) and support the People & Capability Lead across change and transformation
- Support cyclical projects including remuneration, graduate programmes and other team driven initiatives.
- Review and create offer and employment documentation and support onboarding activities.
- Contribute to and Lead ER cases with a focus on positive outcomes and compliance.
- Apply legislation, best practice and HR policies to all people related engagements and support leaders through any employment related matters.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- 3+ years People & Capability or HR Advisory experience.
- Pride in service with the ability to build meaningful and collaborative relationships.
- A thorough understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strong interpersonal qualities and the ability to engage and provide high-level and consistent advice across an organisation.
- An understanding of a unionised workforce and industrial relations.
- High attention to detail and experience producing, creating and understanding employment documentation.
- Ability to self-manage, prioritise and meet deadlines in-line with programmes of work.
- Intermediate Microsoft office product and business application capability.
