Work around the Wellington region - effective maintenance and operation of the Wellington regional utilities assets that includes the three water pump stations, reservoirs, pressure control valves.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $56,881 to $80,303 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
As a Utilities Serviceperson, you will ensure the effective maintenance and operation of the Wellington regional utilities assets that includes the three water pump stations, reservoirs, pressure control valve sites and area water meter sites.
The purpose of this position is to maintain and renew utilities assets across the three waters, including diagnosis and resolution of operational failures.
Service, installation and maintenance on pumps, water meters and pressure valves
Diagnosis and fault finding for operational issues
Maintain, clean and repair plant and tools
Ensure all health and safety obligations are met
Contribute to a positive outcome for customers and team
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
Class 2 Licence, CSE certificates
HIAB experience advantageous
Experience and operational knowledge with mechanical plant within the water industry nice to have.
Willingness to learn on the job
Inspection work including fault finding
Work independently or part of a team on a basic repair
Able to operate small plant, and on tablets
Able to participate in on-call roster and do overtime work
