This is a full time/part time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $80,369 to $113,462 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The Opportunity
As Enterprise Internal Auditor you will work alongside the Senior Enterprise Internal Risk and Assurance and Advisor and Head of Risk and Assurance to safeguard Wellington Water and support its strategic outcomes. You will ensure the audit programme scope and delivery is well documented and internal audits are delivered effectively.
In this role you will contribute to the development of the risk based internal audit programme and carry out assigned parts of the programme, evaluating internal controls and providing advice on corrective and preventative actions.
This will include the following:
Conducting scheduled audits of organisational functions and activities, assessing performance, identifying risks, inconsistencies or irregularities.
Assessing compliance with applicable regulations, internal policies and areas requiring improvement.
Preparing assurance reporting, assessing compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies and supporting on-going maintenance and review of internal policies and processes.
Providing advice on, and documenting required corrective actions to address identified issues and monitoring implementation of remedial actions.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
A relevant tertiary qualification
Proven experience in internal auditing at organisational and operational levels
Background in risk management and quality management systems
An ability to take a ‘big picture’ perspective to identify issues and challenges
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Preferably membership with IIANZ, ICANZ or ENZ
Hold a full NZ driver’s licence
