Opportunity for an experienced Developer looking to progress into a Senior role
Petone based office, with hybrid WFH days
This is a fixed-term, full time position until the end of June 2026, and we will be looking to appoint with a remuneration range between $101,125 and $142,765 (including KiwiSaver).
Appointment remuneration will depend on years and level of experience.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Product Development, you will be at the heart of maintaining and enhancing integrated data solutions for Wellington Water’s Digital Products and Technology Solutions.
We’re seeking a skilled data integration developer to lead solution scoping and planning, deliver data enhancements, and support operational stability.
Key responsibilities will include
ETL implementation of a new system
Creation of metadata documentation, performance tuning, and maintaining data quality.
Close collaboration with client councils, external contractors and internal stakeholders
Ensuring developed solutions meet privacy requirements and are in line with enterprise architecture and established service levels.

About you
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Developer looking to move into a Senior role, you will have a background in, managing, and supporting integrated data solutions that drive improved business and technology outcomes.
Additionally, you will have the following:
Five plus years of experience managing and supporting data integration solutions.
Expertise in implementing ETL processes and data transformation using tools such as FME.
Strong knowledge of relational and multi-dimensional data modelling and proficiency in SQL.
Familiarity with publishing API services.
Experience working in agile and hybrid environments and collaborating within cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in integration scripting, with Python or Ruby.
A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to apply best practices and innovative enhancements.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
