Senior Internal Engagement Advisor
Bring your communications expertise to connect and empower an organisation delivering our region’s vital water services.
- Provide strategic internal communications and engagement support to senior leaders
- Key role in helping to foster internal engagement during a time of organisational transition and change
- Part time role (approximately 20 hours per week) based in Petone
This is a part time, fixed term position with an immediate start through until 31 August 2026.
The opportunity
Wellington Water provides essential services that ensures communities receive reliable, safe and cost-effective water services. As a Senior Internal Engagement Advisor, you will support leaders across the organisation to develop and deliver internal communications and engagement with the aim of ensuring our people are well connected and well informed during a time of organisational change.
You will be able to work with people at all levels of the organisation, develop a strong understanding of our organisational culture and how our people like to be engaged with, and provide effective strategic and tactic advice to people leaders with the aim of delivering internal communications in a timely, informative and well-planned manner.
Reporting to the Head of Communication & Engagement you will support the implementation of the organisation’s Internal Communications and Engagement Strategy and be responsible for managing key internal communications channels (leader-led communications and our intranet).
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Strong experience developing and delivering internal communications and engagement in large, complex organisations.
- Excellent written communication expertise with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work with and support senior leaders.
- Excellent relationship management and influencing skills – ability to build connections and relationships with people at all levels.
- Strong experience in channels management
- Previous experience delivering change communication would be advantageous.
