Principal Advisor - Transition

The remuneration Midpoint for this role is $137,763 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience
This is a full time position for a fixed term of 12 months
The opportunity
The Principal Advisor – Transition will deliver and support activities that are important part of Wellington Water’s contribution to the establishment of new water services entity (Metro Water). Reporting to the Head of Transformation, this role is to contribute to Transition through:
- Facilitating transition activities across Wellington Water as needed to ensure critical path activities are completed on time
- Providing strategic support to the Transition team and workstream leads as requested
- Leading essential improvements to support Wellington Water’s contribution to Metro Water being set up for success
In addition, you will get to:
• Lead and coordinate essential transition activities
• Deliver on the intent of Water Reform
• Drive collaborative work across multiple parties and stakeholders
• Support reporting to our Executive leadership and Board
• Champion the objectives of the Transition programme
• Address and effectively manage the risk in transition activity
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in similar roles, leading complex transformation or change programmes.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, although experience may negate qualifications
- Drive and initiative, with the ability to proactively problem solve
- The ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and coherent manner
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to produce high quality reports
- Strong relationship skills, with proven experience of working in a collective and collaborative environment
