The opportunity
It’s an important job maintaining our most precious assets - water, health, and the environment – and here’s your chance to be involved.
Our water teams play a critical role in ensuring a continual supply of quality water with minimal interruptions to communities. No two days will be the same as you head out across the Wellington region undertaking a mix of planned and reactive works where you'll:
Install and repair water connections on all sizes of mains
Work on jobs of all shapes and sizes
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with trade practice
Flush and charge water mains
Work together with various teams and contractors to achieve results

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Hands on experience in the water industry, with the ability to use hand tools, small plant and machinery
A reliable, hard-working, and can-do attitude.
The ability to use technology (i.e., iPad or tablet) to record information.
An understanding and commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
A full, clean driver’s NZ class 1 Licence is a must & class 2, WTR is an added benefit.
Enjoy working outdoors and can complete manual labour tasks.

Fulton Hogan work in partnership with Wellington Water (An Alliance) to improve three water services across the Greater Wellington. The mission: Keeping our communities healthy by delivering water services safely ever day. And we bring that mission into our daily work.
The Alliance outcomes are delivered through a combined workforce between Wellington Water and Fulton Hogan, which enables shared resourcing and innovative solutions for the regions water networks.
Wellington Water job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed. They do this on behalf of their six council owners.
