We have x2 opportunities to join Wellington Water Ltd on a fixed term basis as a technical advisor providing technical customer support for drainage or water network resolutions.
They are full-time 6-month fixed term positions of 40 hours a week
The remuneration range for this role is $71,769 to $101,321 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience
The opportunity:
In this dynamic position you will provide on a daily basis technical and operational support to the appropriate depot’s Network Operations and Engineering Lead; encompassing supporting operational responses, planned works, customer liaison and working with operational field crews to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of water services.
This will see you:
- Undertake investigations of more complex water and drainage issues
- Determine and apply the best approach to water and drainage investigations
- Develop Planned Maintenance Programs for network assets
- Carry out quality reviews and audits of completed work
Please note these roles operate across the Greater Wellington Region, nominally operating from our Porirua depot you will be required to work from other areas in the region such as Wellington, South Wairarapa, Porirua, Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt locations from time to time. A company vehicle is supplied for this role.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to build relationships
- Experience working across issue resolutions, utilising good verbal communication skills
- A degree of physical fitness to carry out field inspections
- A NZCE / Diploma in Engineering / Degree qualification (Civil, Mech, Elect) or other suitable trade qualification
- Full NZ Class 1 Drivers License
- Strong computer literacy, with specific experience with computer-based maintenance and asset management systems
- Emergency and incident response experience
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings including network plans
