This is a full time position based close to the beach and shops in Petone
The opportunity
As the Head of Transformation you will lead the company's work in both transformation of the business (through people, systems, processes); and transition - ensuring we are prepared for the impact of Local Waters Done Well and for the economic regulator of water services after legislation is passed in 2025. To excel in this role, you should be energised by the prospect of change and possess the ability to develop and implement resilient, data-driven recommendations that drive meaningful improvement.
You will get to:
- Support transformation of the business through driving initiatives that improve organisational efficiency and effectiveness
- Contribute to the design and development of strategies and plans for any potential transition to a new water services entity
- Build and sustain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure delivery of the transformation and transition plans
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Significant local government experience at a senior leadership level is highly desirable
- A bachelor’s degree and a relevant post graduate qualification or MBA desirable
- A Strategic Vision, sees the big picture and can translate this into future possibilities
- Commercial acumen with the ability to undertake economic modelling to support strategic planning
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to effectively collaborate and build partnerships and networks
