Network Operations & Engineering Lead Utilities

This is a full time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $106,892 to $150,906 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience
The opportunity
As the Network Operations and Engineering Lead (Utilities), the purpose of this role is to support the Operations and Engineering team with planning and delivery of utilities projects across the region, provide leadership in the delivery of planned maintenance programs through the Service Delivery and Maintenance teams as well as provision of expert advice on the operation of the wider network.
- Planning and delivery of maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant assets
- Internal and external contractor management
- Operations and upgrade projects of Drainage and Water Utilities - pump stations, reservoirs and network control systems.
- Supporting and working with field crews to deliver services
- Work flow and process improvements, including planned maintenance programming in an Asset Management system.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- An understanding of the types of both drainage and water networks within the Wellington Region, specifically how utility facilities and assets improve water networks and plant management
- Ability to identify key risks and plan accordingly to investigate electrical and mechanical issues relating to water supply, wastewater and stormwater systems.
- A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
- Ability to lead, develop and manage staff
- Experience leading programme workstreams and projects related to asset management or infrastructure improvement.
- Ability to collaborate with community stakeholders, contractors and customers to address and identify issues.
