This is a full time position of 40 hours per week.
The remuneration range for this role is $83,096 to $117,312 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
This role provides a strong sense of purpose. You will work across the Alliance either for Wellington Water or Fulton Hogan to deliver competency verification and ensure the well-being and health & safety of our people. We strongly believe in applying our ‘people first’ vision to everything we do, and this role will play an influential role in delivering health and safety training.
- Provide coaching and advice to all levels of the organisation, working closely with frontline and contract workforce to build a robust culture.
- Improve and Implement Health and Safety procedures and processes.
- Deliver high standard training material to ensure our people and contractors are competent to operate plant & machinery to a skilled worker level.
- Will be actively involved in risk management improvements.
- Support Contractors to ensure their compliance to our operational and Health and Safety standards.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Health and Safety focused qualification (Level 3 and above) or relevant experience to demonstrate an equivalent level of skill and knowledge.
- At least 5 years experience in a health and safety role or similar compliance type role and be familiar with industrial and civil infrastructure - mechanical, electrical, or chemical.
- Experience in identifying risks, supporting investigations, reporting and monitoring health & safety, supporting staff and managers and competency capability.
- Proficient and adaptable with technology, including business management
systems. - Resilient to change, an open communicator, agile and adaptable.
