Wellington Water is currently working with the Wellington Metropolitan councils on a significant programme of work that will lead to impactful improvements and conservation of water for our community through water metering.
The opportunity
The Metering Programme Team has been established to deliver a transformational programme that will work from establishment to full delivery phase for the implementation of over 130,000 residential meters.
As the Technical Lead you will work closely with a team of expert leads from a variety of functional areas to ensure the work programme is delivered to achieve best possible outcomes in an effective and efficient manner. You will be responsible for identifying ‘fit for purpose’ technical, data and technology solutions and developing and delivering detailed implementation plans.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Extensive experience leading implementation initiative’s that involve technology within infrastructure and similar programme’s of work.
- Sound working knowledge of technical specifications, network communications, data management, system integration, customer portal and customer billing solutions if required.
- Experience working with very technical subject matter experts, and suppliers to research best solutions that meet a variety of organisational needs.
- Ability to navigate programme governance, and facilitate needs of governing bodies, councils, or boards and the interest of community, iwi and local government.
- Ability to work independently and identify strategic risk.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, including written.
- Proven leadership skills within project management.
