Network Engineering Lead
You will be involved with post emergency event management and the scheduled recovery activity alongside taking responsibility for the planning and delivery of our maintenance works program.

This is a full-time permanent position of 40 hours a week
The remuneration range for this role is $104,270 to $147,205 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
Working across the three waters distribution network, the Network Engineering Lead sits within our Customer Operations Group where you will be involved with post incident event management and scheduling of the resulting appropriate recovery works. You'll also take responsibility for the planning and delivery of our maintenance works program, alongside the delivery of the water meter reading and meter renewal programs.
This role will see you:
- Lead post incident works and undertake post incident reviews
- Take the role of incident controller on a roster with other Senior Wellington Water staff
- Produce schedules, plans and contract agreements for maintenance and reactive upgrade projects
- Monitor and prioritise team workloads as well as give regular coaching and feedback to team members on their performance
- Provide technical advice and support for the wider Customer Operations Group
- Develop proactive working relationships with various teams across Wellington Water
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification and a full driver's licence
- Experience managing emergency incidents and events, ideally within a three waters network environment
- Background and delivery of planned maintenance activities for three waters assets
- Asset, project, program, contract and risk management experience
- Ability to lead, develop and manage staff
