The remuneration range for this role is $126,322 to 178,337 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience

Team Lead Asset Planning Networks

As Team Lead, you’ll guide the strategic vision and lifecycle management of critical network assets, championing innovative, forward‑thinking investment planning. You’ll inspire and grow a high‑performing network planning team, provide expert technical direction, and ignite collaboration across the business. Your work ensures our infrastructure is safe, sustainable, resilient, and aligned with the evolving needs of our communities, environment, and regulators. Team Lead Asset Planning, Treatment
Take the lead in shaping the future of our treatment assets by driving strategic direction, smart investment decisions, and robust lifecycle planning. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of developing and maintaining Facility and Bulk Network Management Plans, commissioning critical investigations, and acting as a key internal customer to ensure capital projects deliver exactly what the network needs.
You’ll set the standard for condition assessments, translate asset health data into clear planning priorities, and cultivate a motivated, high-performance team. Your leadership will champion evidence‑based decision‑making and long‑term value—strengthening the organisation’s resilience and delivering meaningful benefits for the communities we serve.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
A deep understanding of water supply, wastewater treatment, and drainage systems; asset lifecycle planning; regulatory frameworks
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil, Environmental, or Process Engineering
10+ years in water infrastructure planning, with 3+ years in a leadership role
Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage performance, and drive strategic outcomes
Strong stakeholder engagement, report writing, and visual presentation skills
