Programme Analyst
Support Wellington Water’s capital delivery as a Programme Analyst - drive insights, manage risks, and help deliver vital infrastructure in a collaborative, fast-paced team.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $86,230 to $121,736 p.a. (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
We're looking for a proactive and analytical Programme Analyst to support the delivery and ongoing improvement of Wellington Water’s capital works programme. You’ll work at the heart of our Programme Management Office, ensuring our infrastructure projects are planned, tracked, and reported to a high standard - while identifying risks and opportunities for improvement across the board.
This is a role where your insights will directly contribute to the success of critical water infrastructure projects across our region.
The position will see you:
- Supporting the planning and coordination of capital delivery programmes
- Monitoring key performance indicators and producing regular reporting for senior leaders
- Providing financial analysis and forecasting in collaboration with finance teams
- Identifying and escalating programme-level risks
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting best practice across teams
- Supporting programme governance, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication
You’ll also act as a key point of contact within the Programme Office, helping teams stay aligned and informed as they deliver vital water services to our communities.
About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- 3 - 4 years’ experience in a programme, project, or portfolio analyst / advisory role - ideally in capital infrastructure or construction related PMO
- Strong skills in business and risk reporting, with a sharp eye for insights and trends
- Technical writing experience and a solid understanding of governance processes
- Excellent relationship management and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with programme and project management frameworks (e.g. 3PO, MSP, PMP)
- Ability to understand and communicate complex data in a clear, meaningful way
