This is a permanent full-time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration range for this role is $83,096 to $117,312 (including KiwiSaver) depending on skills and experience.
The opportunity
Our Land Development team is looking for an Engineer that enjoys providing advice and supporting external developers to meet their goals of implementing sustainable three water services to support growth and development. There is a range of work available from intensification proposals to greenfield developments. The team works across the spectrum from early engagement to help developers understand feasibility to sign off on construction works.
Day to day you will collaborate with stakeholders and problem solve network solutions for new connections that meet council regulations and achieve infrastructure outcomes. Working collaboratively with internal modelling and network engineering teams you will provide expertise on infrastructure specifications and design planning to ensure our water networks, community health and environment are protected.
Our team is always busy and we’re looking for people with a can do attitude, an understanding of customer needs and a desire to improve our systems and processes.
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- A Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), CPEng (preferred)
- Previous work experience preferably in 3 Waters or Land Development with a good understanding of water network and models
- Working knowledge of the Resource Management Act and Local Government Act
- Analytical skills and ability utilise data to inform and make meaningful decisions
- Strong customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
