This is a full time position of 40 hours per week
The remuneration for this role is $71,769 (including KiwiSaver)
The opportunity
At Wellington Water, our graduate programme allows you to secure the step from being a graduate with potential to a high achieving young professional and entry into the water industry.
To enable you to learn and build experience, you'll be rotated through multiple areas of our business providing you with an introduction to the overall operations and maintenance activities for the water supply, wastewater and stormwater networks. Your skills will be engaged across a broad spectrum of activities including administration of maintenance activities, contracts, budgeting, investigations, auditing and managing minor capital works projects.
Over time you will gain experience and confidence through our adaptive leadership program and become a valued part of the company, administering the Wellington Water’s network within the Wellington area. This is a special opportunity that will take you places you never expected as you define a career path surrounded by experienced professionals.

About you:
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Civil or Environmental (equivalent to Washington Accord Degree)
- The desire to collaborate and engage with a broad range of people, valuing a customer service focus
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A pro-active approach with a health and safety mindset
- A full, clean current NZ drivers licence

Wellington Water is the professional water services provider across Greater Wellington and South Wairarapa. Our job is to provide safe and healthy drinking water, collect and treat wastewater, and ensure the stormwater network is well managed. We’re a multi-council owned entity, tasked to manage the infrastructure and deliver water services to our communities.
