Who are we:

We manage the drinking water, wastewater and storm water services from source to sea for our client councils, who are the Hutt, Porirua, Upper Hutt and Wellington city councils, South Wairarapa District Council and Greater Wellington Regional Council. We partner with the community, engineering consultants and contractors on water services projects, water conservation, operations work and asset planning.

Where do you come in:

The purpose of this role is to provide high quality executive administrative and diary management services to support the Group Manager Business Services and to assist the wider Group, as required.  You will also provide backup support to the Chief Executive as well as play a critical role in supporting the Wellington Water Board as required.

You will have a reputation as a problem solver, who can quickly identify solutions that enable positive business outcomes, you will enjoy taking on a broad range of responsibilities whilst looking for opportunities to add value, and have a natural ability to organise a busy manager with a large workload.  Your attention to detail, ability to develop and implement sound processes, positively influence and develop strong relationships quickly will be key.

To be successful in this busy role, you will be highly skilled in:

  • Providing executive support to senior managers.
  • Coordinating and maintaining the diary of senior managers, including organising all appointments and meetings.
  • Experience providing backup support for coordinating the delivery of board papers (as required).
  • Time management and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Identifying, anticipating and preparing information required for meetings, appointments, presentations, and overseeing requests for information, outstanding reports and correspondence.
  • Providing a wider range of administrative and general support duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature.
  • Providing administration support, including event management and catering.
  • Proving assistance to other EA’s as requested.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Establishing and maintaining office processes and procedures and organising workflow.
  • The ability to thrive in a busy and fast paced environment.

In addition to the above, you will be self-starter who is focused on providing solutions and outcomes that are in line with best practice.
